Enjoy a Forest Holiday and Plant a Tree!
Forest Holidays is committed to preserving the environment for future generations and with your help we can.
The scheme is simple - every time you book a Forest Holidays Cabin, you can enable a tree to be planted by making a £2.50 donation to the Forest Holidays Trust. We will use your donation to plant a tree via the Woodland Trust, thereby creating more new woodland in the UK. If you want to donate an additional sum, you can - simply increase the donation when booking online or ask our Holiday Advisors when booking by phone. For every £2.50 more you donate, another tree can be planted!
Forest Holidays and the Woodland Trust - working hand in hand
What is the Forest Holidays Trust?
Forest Holidays Trust is the charity set up by Forest Holidays with two key aims:
• HELPING PEOPLE via identifying charitable organisations throughout Great Britain who work with disadvantaged children who would benefit from a holiday, respite or experience on our associated campsites.
• HELPING THE ENVIRONMENT via supporting the continual re-growth of trees across the UK’s forests each year and thereby off-setting some of the current generation’s carbon footprint. To help fulfil our environmental objectives, we have joined forces with the Woodland Trust who are experts in planting trees.
What is the Woodland Trust?
The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity, working to create a UK rich in native woods and trees enjoyed and valued by everyone. The Woodland Trust owns and manages over 1,200 woods covering over 60,000 acres, all of which have free public access. Last year it planted 1.6 million trees, creating more native woodland across the
UK. The UK is one of the least wooded places in Europe with just 13% woodland cover (the European average is 44%) and that is why the Woodland Trust has the ambitious vision of doubling UK native woodland cover by 2050.
