Alongside plenty of active adventures to take part in, the area
around Strathyre offers towns to discover, scenic routes to drive
and forests to explore.
The town of Callander is four miles from
Strathyre Cabins and hosts a range of shops, restaurants, pubs and
bars. Here you’ll find a supermarket and several craft and
souvenir shops.
Slightly further afield, Stirling is
approximately 19 miles away and offers many tourist attractions
including the Old Town Jail, Stirling old bridge and Wallace
Monument. Stirling also offers many shops, restaurants and
bars.
A drive along the Duke’s Pass, which links
Aberfoyle and Callander, is not to be missed. Climbing to a
height of 800m, the views from the pass are breathtaking and at the
highest point there is a car park and viewing point.
The David Marshall Lodge Visitors’ Centre is located on the
Duke’s Pass, approx 15 miles from Strathyre Cabins. Here you
can find out about the local wildlife, follow a trail in the Queen
Elizabeth Forest Park or discover if you have a head for heights at
the nearby GoApe! high wire adventure course. Strathyre is a
great location for your Cabin holiday in Scotland.
