Camping and Caravanning
The Forest Experience Card
This costs £12 for an annual membership,
beginning from the date of purchase and can be purchased when you
book or arrive on site. The Forest Experience card entitles you to
forego the Pitch surcharge of £3 per night and not incur a booking
amendment fee if changes are made up to three days before the start
of your holiday
Unit
A tent, trailer-tent, caravan or
motorcaravan, up to a maximum of 8 metres in length (A motorhome
may tow a car with an ‘A’ frame)
Two-person pitch
An undefined pitch to station your Unit
on and includes the first two people within the price (one person
must be over 18 years of age). This does not include electric
hook-up or hardstanding. Space for one attached single awning or
one toilet tent or a small trailer is also included in the
two-person pitch price. One car (or motorbike) may accompany all
units on pitch. Additional cars (or motorbikes) will be
charged for but may not be situated directly on the pitch.
Premium pitch
As per two-person pitch and includes
electric hook-up and/or hardstanding. Additional £3.00 per pitch
per nightover standard pitch price.
Select pitch
As per premium pitch and includes a
picnic table and larger pitch. Additional £7.00 per pitch per night
over standard pitch price
Select Plus pitch
Available at selected sites . As per
select pitch but also includes water and waste drainage and TV
point. Additional £10.00 per pitch, per night over standard
pitch price
Additional people
Pitch prices are for two people. Extra
adults and children can be purchased for up to a maximum of six
people on one pitch. An extra child is a person aged between 5 and
16years old). Children under 5 years old go free. For parties
larger than 6 people, multiple pitches must be booked. Group
bookings of over six units are accepted at the discretion of Forest
Holidays, please call for details
Family Pricing
Special prices apply to families with two
adults and up to three children under the age of 16 or four
children if there is only one adult in the party.
Single camper discount
A discount of £2 per night is
applicable on pitches occupied by a single adult, this discount
does not apply to the back packer price.
Seasoned camper
discount
To qualify for this discount where
applicable on the two-person pitch price, one of the two people
staying must be over 55 years old. and is valid when a maximum of
two people occupy the pitch

Backpacker
A backpacker’s pitch can only be booked
if you are travelling by foot or bicycle, do not have a car on site
and do not arrive on-site by car. £5.00 per adult per night
and £2.50 per child per night. Backpackers do not pay the pitch
surcharge. A maximum of 2 people per pitch are permitted in a
2-man tent.
Pitch extras
Forest Holidays allows you to book one of
the following per pitch: pup tent; gazebo; extra car; boat; double
awning; trailer (over 1.2m). Pitch extras (excluding pup tents)
incur a charge which must bepaid at the time of booking to secure
the additional space. Pup tents must be erected within the boundary
of the pitch
Dogs
Dogs are charged at £1 per dog per night
up to a maximum of three dogs per pitch. Please note: whilst we
welcome dogs on site, they must be kept under control and on a lead
at all times.
Guests with
disabilities
Please call our Reservations Team for
details of our disabled facilities and to register for your free
Forest Experience Card.
Rally
Rallies are for parties that require 10
pitches or more. A discount of up to 30% is available on the
standard pitch fee. Please call 0845 130 8224 for more
information.
Arrival
Arrival times are between midday and
10.00pm. If you wish to arrive earlier, please ring the Site
Manager on the morning of your arrival and they will do their best
to accommodate your request. There will be a charge of £3.00
for arrivals before 12.00pm
Advance bookings
Bookings are accepted up to 10.00pm on
your day of arrival.
At Hollands Wood, Holmsley, Roundhill and Ashurst a minimum of two
nights can be booked in advance When encompassing
a Bank Holiday, the minimum booking is three nights. For all
other sites a minimum stay of one night can be booked in advance in
Low/Mid Season, two nights in High Season and three nights on Bank
Holidays. Subject to availability, one night bookings can be taken
during any season when made directly on arrival on site and not
booked in advance
Payment
All sites accept credit and debit cards
with the exception of American Express cards. All one night stays
are subject to a £1.50 administration charge. For holidays of three
nights or less, the full cost is payable at the time of booking.
For holidays of four nights or more, a non-refundable deposit of
£30 per pitch is payable on all advance bookings. The balance is
payable when you arrive on site. To facilitate a quicker check in
on site, particularly during weekends and peak periods, it is
recommended that full payment is made in advance. Please note that
full payment will be required at the time of booking if the period
of your stay encompasses a Bank Holiday Weekend. Please note that
cheques can only be accepted at least 15 days prior to the start of
your holiday. Cheques are not accepted on site.
Booking on arrival
If you prefer the freedom to turn up at
site, you can book in at reception on arrival (subject to
availability).
28 day stays
All 28 day stays attract a discount of
10% on the standard pitch fee. On all our sites, the maximum
stay allowed is 28 days, after which time your pitch must be
vacated for at least 3 days before returning to the pitch.
You may only extend your stay up to a maximum of two 28 day periods
within one year. All 28 day stays will qualify for a discount
of 10% on the standard pitch fee in low and mid season.
BBQ’s and Wood burning
Since we want to protect our forests,
burning of wood is strictly prohibited. Charcoal only BBQ’s
are allowed providing they are raised off the ground. No open
fires or fire pits are permitted

Terms & Conditions
Forest Holidays LLP (referred to as
Forest Holidays/we/our/us) makes sales of camping & caravanning
holidays via www.forestholidays.co.uk (the “Website”), , via its
call centre, via email requests, via postal requestsand takes
bookings direct at the camping & caravanning sites. Any person
wishing to book a holiday via any of these methods (referred to as
“you/your”) acknowledges that such booking is made subject to our
terms and conditions set out below.
You may only request a booking if you
agree to these terms and conditions. By requesting a booking you
are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions as governing
your booking. This does not affect your statutory rights as a
consumer.
We reserve the right to change these
terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes will take effect
immediately when posted on the Website, in the brochure, at the
campsites, or otherwise brought to your attention. It is your
responsibility to read the terms and conditions each time you
request a booking and any such request shall signify you have
accepted to be bound by the latest set of terms and conditions.

1. Booking Confirmation
When you wish to place a booking for a
holiday (“Booking Request”) with us, you will complete a booking
form (either on the Website, over the phone, by email, or at the
camping and caravanning site). It is your responsibility to provide
us with the correct information. If you have made the Booking
Request via the telephone, we will read back
your details to you. You will be responsible for the booking
regardless of any input errors.
If you have made the Booking Request via
the Website we shall send an automated response email to you as an
order acknowledgement of the Booking Request with a booking
reference number. For all other Booking Requests we process, we
shall issue written confirmation accepting your Booking Request
with a booking reference number. Once Forest Holidays has
issued such written confirmation it shall have entered into a
contract with you.

By making a Booking Request you warrant
that you have the authority of all persons in your party to book on
their behalf, accept these terms and conditions and that you will
indemnify Forest Holidays and keep Forest Holidays fully and
effectively indemnified against all loss and damage arising
directly or indirectly, from any act or default by yourself or any
person or animal accompanying you.
Bookings are not transferable.
In addition to these terms and
conditions, there may be specific rules and regulations which apply
to individual sites. These will, where applicable, be prominently
displayed in the reception area of each site.
You must be over 18 years old to
make a booking.and to stay on a pitch with no other adults
2. Services, Features and Facilities
Apart from your site pitch and access to
permitted areas of the forest, none of the features, facilities or
services referred to in the brochure or the Website (e.g. bike
hire, pony trekking and boat hire) are provided by Forest Holidays
or its agents (unless otherwise stated).
Forest Holidays shall not have any responsibility for loss, damage
or injury in relation to these features, facilities and services
which we do not provide.
Information about features, facilities
and services at your holiday, is, to the best of our knowledge and
belief, accurate at the time of publication of the brochure and
Website,
but some of these features, facilities and services may not be
available at the time you
take your holiday. As our sites are located in a forest
environment, we cannot accept responsibility for any damage, injury
or inconvenience caused by wildlife.
3. Pitches and Units
Unit
A tent, trailer tent, caravan or
motorhomeup to maximum of 8 metres (A motorhome may tow a car
with an A-Frame).
Two-Person Pitch

Visitors
£1 per person per day; £3 per car per
day. Forest Holidays is happy to accommodate day visitors but it is
essential, for security, that they report to the Site Manager
immediately on arrival. Entry to the site and subsequent parking
will be at the Site Manager’s discretion and the outlined charges
will be incurred for the use of the facilities. Visitors must
depart the site by 10.30pm
Pitch Extras
Forest Holidays allows you to book one of
the following per pitch: pup tent; single gazebo (no more than 3m x
3m in size); extra car; boat; double awning; trailer (over 1.2m).
The Pitch Extras (excluding pup tents) incur a charge which must be
paid for at the time of booking, especially at Bank Holidays, as we
cannot guarantee there will be space. A pup tent can only be used
by up to two under 16’sand must be erected within the boundary of
the pitch of the accompanying unit. The Site Manager reserves
the right to ask you to remove any windbreaks.
Forest Experience
Card
This costs £12 for an annual membership,
beginning from the date of purchase and entitles you to forego the
Pitch surcharge and not incur the charge of a booking amendment fee
if changes are made up to three days before the start of the
holiday. Full payment for the card is required at time of
purchase and is non refundable
4. Management
Empowerment for all aspects of site
operational management lies with the Site Managers. Forest
Holidays fully supports its Site Managers in dealing with matters
of policy at their sole discretion when the need arises. In placing
a Booking Request you agree that you and your party will at all
times comply with any policies or rules specific to the site or any
reasonable instructions or requests of the Site Managers. To
respect the enjoyment of others, we ask that noise levels are kept
to a minimum after 11pm
5. Payment
All sites accept credit and debit cards
with the exception of American Express cards. All one night stays
are subject to a £1.50 administration charge. For holidays of three
nights or less, the full cost is payable at the time of booking.
For holidays of four nights or more, a non-refundable deposit of

The price of your pitch entitles you to
locate:
a) one car/motorcycle and one
tent/caravan/small trailer/trailer tent, or
b) one motorhome and one
car/motorcycle
within the boundaries of the Forest
Holidays campsite for the period stated on your confirmation. Space
for one attached single awning or one toilet tent or a small
trailer
is included in the pitch price.
Children pay children’s fees at sites
from their 5th birthday and before their 16th birthday.
6. Cancellation
If you want to cancel your booking you
must notify us as soon as possible and confirm in writing. Provided
the cancellation is received not less than 3 days before the start
date of the holiday, only the deposit will be forfeited. If we
receive less than 3 days notice, or if you fail to arrive at the
stated site, you will be liable to forfeit all monies paid,
including the cost of the Forest Experience Card if
purchased. Our customers visit our sites to enjoy the peace
and tranquility of the forest. If anyone does not respect this, the
Site Manager reserves the right to refuse them admission or ask
them to leave the site at any time. If you are asked to leave under
these circumstances, no monies will be refunded.
7. Amendments
If you want to amend your booking you
must notify Forest Holidays as soon as possible. Amendments to your
booking can be made up to 3 days prior to the start date of your
holiday and are subject to availability and to a £12 administration
fee. Should you wish to transfer your booking to another
location and/or date, we will use our reasonable endeavours to
satisfy your request wherever possible, but shall be under no
obligation
to do so. Any administration fee will be waived for Forest
Experience Card holders and Camping & Caravanning Club
Members
8. Pricing
The prices are based on a daily
rate unless otherwise stated. Prices include VAT at the current
prevailing rate where applicable. Whilst we will make every effort
to ensure that our prices remain unchanged, they may be amended at
any time prior to payment of the final balance. In such
circumstances, you may cancel your booking by giving notice in
writing, by Recorded Delivery, within 14 days of the issue date
printed on your invoice, and we will refund all monies paid in
respect of the booking. Please note the prices advertised in our
brochure and on our website are applicable up to and
including
11th January 2009 only.
9. Dogs
Well-trained dogs are welcome on sites
that accept dogs, subject to payment of the appropriate supplement
(£1 per dog per night up to a maximum of 3 dogs per pitch). They
must be kept under proper control and must be kept on a lead at all
times. All traces of their presence must be removed before you
leave and any fouling must be collected and disposed of.
10. Groups
Single sex groups and large groups are
welcome at the Site Manager’s discretion. Please make us
aware at the time of booking if you are an all male or all female
group or a group of 6 units or more. It is essential that you
and your party will at all times comply with any policies or rules
specific to the site or any reasonable instructions or requests of
the Site Managers
10. Arrival and Departure
It is important that customers report to
the Site Manager on arrival, before pitching and to pay the fees in
advance.
Arrival times on site are between midday
and 10pm. However, should you wish to arrive earlier, please ring
the Site Manager on the morning of your arrival and they will do
their best to accommodate your request. There will be a charge of
£3.00 for arrivals before 12.00pm. If you are likely to
arrive late, please let the Site Manager know. Subject to
availability, we accept bookings on all our sites up to 10pm on
your day of arrival.
For advance bookings, if not notified
otherwise, your pitch will be held until 10pm on your day of
arrival, after which it will be put up for re-sale. Pitches must be
vacated by midday
on the day of departure unless otherwise agreed with the Site
Manager. For departures after midday, there will be a charge of £3
per pitch and is subject to availability
On all our sites, the maximum stay
allowed is 28 days, after which time your pitch must be vacated for
at least 3 days before return to the pitch. You may only
extend your stay up to a maximum of two 28 day periods within one
year . All 28 day stays will qualify for a discount of 10% on
the standard pitch fee in low and mid season
11. Minimum Age
We can only accept bookings for parties
where there is at least one person aged 18 years or over
12. Complaints
We are most concerned that you have an
enjoyable holiday. Should you nevertheless have cause for
complaint, please contact our Site Manager immediately who will
advise you of our complaints procedure.
13. Promotions and Special Offers
Promotions or discounted offers are
provided at the discretion of Forest Holidays. All offers are
subject to availability, cannot be used in conjunction with any
other offer or discountand may be withdrawn at any time.
Retrospective refunds are not permitted against any offer or
promotion advertised after such time a booking is made
14. Third Parties
Reference to any products, services
processes, trade names, trademarks or other information of third
parties does not imply or constitute an endorsement, sponsorship or
recommendation by Forest Holidays. Links to other services not
operated by Forest Holidays are solely for your convenience. Forest
Holidays is not responsible for any products, services, processes,
trade names, trademarks or other information provided by third
parties.
15. Privacy Policy
Forest Holidays respects your right to
privacy. In the statement to follow you will find full details of
how Forest Holidays protects and secures your personal
information.
How do we use your
data?
Forest Holidays will use the information
you provide to us in order to:
• process your new Forest Experience Card
applications and renewals submitted to us
• verify financial transactions
• investigate and resolve any problems
with any services supplied to you
• improve the content of our web
pages
• carry out research on our visitors in
order to improve the service offered to you
contact you with any questions or queries
relating to your booking
We may also occasionally wish to use this
data to send you information which may be of interest to you.
Any correspondence you receive will also give you the
opportunity to opt-out at any point if you would prefer not to
continue receiving information.
Do Forest Holidays share personal
details?
Subject to Condition 19 below, no, Forest
Holidays has a policy to not provide your personal data to any
third parties other than dedicated customer service providers.

16. Sharing Information
Information is shared with a) our bank
and b) our partners and c) involved third parties, e.g. Insurance,
credit cards etc. When paying by credit or debit card we pass your
card details to our bank for authorisation of the transaction and
for payment. We do not disclose your details to any other person
without your consent unless there is an emergency situation that
requires it or we are legally required to do so.
17. Disclosure
By agreeing to these terms and conditions
you are agreeing to abide by all of our site policies which are
available at all of our sites.
18. Liability
Unless required by law, we will not be
liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business or loss of
goodwill or for any indirect or consequential losses whatsoever and
our maximum liability shall be no more than to refund the amount
paid by you for the holiday.
We shall have no liability to you for any
failure to perform any of our obligations under the contract if and
to the extent that the failure is caused by act of God,
governmental restriction, condition or control or by reason of any
act done or not done pursuant to trade dispute, shortages of labour
or materials or breakdown of machinery or any other matter (whether
or not similar to the foregoing) outside of our control.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in
these terms and conditions is intended to limit any right you may
have as a consumer under local law or other statutory rights that
may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit our
liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from
our negligence.
19. Third Party Rights
No person (except you and us) shall have
any rights pursuant to the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act
1999 (the “Act”) to enforce any of these terms and conditions. Any
right or remedy of a third party which exists or is available apart
from the Act is not affected.
20. Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be
governed and interpreted exclusively according to the laws of
England. We and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction
of the English Courts in relation to any matters of dispute arising
out of or in connection with these conditions provided that we may,
at our option, take proceedings in the courts of the state or
country in which you are domiciled including action to obtain any
remedy (including injunctive relief).
The contract between us shall be
concluded in the English language.
Forest Holidays uses pixels, or transparent GIF files, to
help manage online advertising. These GIF files are provided by our
ad management partner, DoubleClick. These files enable DoubleClick
to recognize a unique cookie on your Web browser, which in turn
enables us to learn which advertisements bring users to our
website. The cookie was placed by us, or by another advertiser who
works with DoubleClick. With both cookies and Spotlight technology,
the information that we collect and share is anonymous and not
personally identifiable. It does not contain your name, address,
