Strathyre

Experience Scotland’s sweeping majesty in a loch side hideaway.

Our site at Strathyre in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park is in a stunning location which can rival many of the world’s top beauty spots. Under the watchful eye of Ben Ledi, which reaches 3000 ft, Strathyre sits alongside the tranquil shoreline of scenic Loch Lubnaig.

The forests around Strathyre are magnificent, mixing towering pine with more familiar deciduous residents and the wildlife is quite unlike our other sites, with osprey, roe and red deer, red squirrel and pine marten all being local inhabitants.

What you can do

Because of its position on the edge of the loch, Strathyre is perfect for fishing. If you haven’t got your own equipment you can hire it on site. Of course there are miles of forest trails and pathways, many starting from the site for both walking and cycling. There are Ranger led walks too or you could try the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park Visitor Centre or the Highland Boundary Fault Trail. You can even go driving down the Duke’s Pass with its stunning scenery. Whatever you choose to do, Strathyre is the perfect place to blow the cobwebs away and leave the cares of day-to-day life far behind.
