There is much excitement about moons in autumn, with supermoons and blood moons, Harvest and Hunters’ moons. But it’s moons of a different sort that have been causing a stir at Forest Holidays – honeymoons, babymoons and minimoons.
Moons are appearing everywhere just lately. Our holidays have always been a popular choice for honeymoons but we noticed a trend starting a couple of years ago for minimoons – a short break, just after the wedding but before or instead of the big honeymoon.
This year there’s a new moon – babymoon, which is a break for mum-to-be with her partner or friends before the baby is born.
And the very latest is buddymoon, which is like a honeymoon but your mates come with you…
…hmm, not sure about that one.
Honeymoon Heaven
The honeymoon is still the most popular of them all. Honeymoon is an old English term thought to refer to the fact that the first month of marriage is the sweetest of all. Over time it came to mean the trip or holiday that a couple takes immediately after getting married.
If you are honeymooning in the forest, opt for a romantic Golden Oak Hideaway for two. Enjoy a cosy lounge and a double bedroom, a huge sunken bath with views of the forest, a hot tub and hammock on the decking and lots of special little surprises guaranteed to fit with your romantic mood.
You can hide away in your Golden Oak Hideaway, enjoy a Honeymoon package including fresh flowers and Champagne or prosecco, and never go further than your hot tub. Or you can take romantic walks in the forest, visit fairy-tale castles and eat out together in local restaurants.
