Head for Sherwood Forest next week and get back to nature as, together with experts from Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, we bring you a week of natural wonders.
We've teamed up with our friends at Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust to offer a special Wildlife Week at Sherwood Forest from Tuesday 9 June to Thursday 11 June. We still have some cabins available for breaks from Monday to Friday so why not come and join us.
The Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust is one of the 47 individual trusts in the UK that make up the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts. They stand up for, and look after, natural and wild places close to where people live.
As a Wildlife Guardian for the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, at Forest Holidays we encourage wildlife in as many ways as we can. We have bat boxes and bird hopper feeders, all cabins have a bird table on the decking and we also have a bug hotel - even nature gets a holiday!

30 Days Wild
Our Wildlife Week is inspired by The Wildlife Trusts’ 30 Days Wild campaign, where you are invited to carry out ‘Random Acts of Wildness’ throughout June. These acts are everyday ways to connect with nature. This could be as simple as:
• Inhale: take a few seconds out to smell a wildflower
• Record: put wild sounds onto your phone and make them your ringtone – you’ll be transported back to the wild every time you get a call
• Encounter: share a close encounter with a favourite species – take a friend along to a Wildlife Trust event
• Create: make a wild work of art outdoors and leave it for others to enjoy
Even though it’s already started you can still sign up for the campaign here and follow #30DaysWild on Twitter for inspiration and encouragement.
