Escape to the forest in Scotland

Woodland cabins with a mountain backdrop

Mountain climbing, forest walks, fishing, canoeing, shopping and sightseeing… A break in Strathyre will please everybody.  Our Strathyre cabins are in the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, watched over by majestic peaks of Ben Ledi.  Tackle big adventures or simply enjoy the forest, a sanctuary for rare wildlife.  Look out for red squirrels practically knocking on your cabin door, buzzards overhead and wild deer peeping from between the trees.

See our pine martens

Strathyre welcomes some unusual residents

Our guests have been catching glimpses of a group of rare and elusive pine martens which have decided to make Strathyre their home. These beautiful mammals, slightly larger than a squirrel and with a distinctive creamy yellow bib were once almost extinct on these shores but have recently been making a comeback in Scotland. Strathyre is one of the best places in Great Britain to see them and we have been recording their antics. Click on the link below to find out more.

Scotland is home to some of the UK's best-loved wildlife and at Strathyre you may also see red squirrels, otters and red deer, making it the ideal location of a Scottish wildlife holiday.
