Discover Cornwall’s prettiest fishing villages

Cornwall boasts some of the prettiest seaside towns in England, and Looe and Polperro are two of its finest. Polperro is a picturesque harbour village where you can spend many a happy hour shopping for local arts and crafts in the friendly little shops and galleries. Five miles along the scenic coastal path, Looe will reward you with a fine, sandy beach and a clutch of excellent restaurants.

Both towns are less than 10 miles from Deerpark cabins and only a 15 minute drive.

Build sandcastles in the sunshine

Deerpark is just seven miles from the south Cornish coast where you’ll find plenty of clean, sandy, picturesque beaches. Our favourites are; Whitsand Bay, a perfect three mile stretch of sand and surf; Lantic Bay, a hidden jewel with pristine white sand; and the lovely, spacious, family-friendly beach at Seaton. All three are dog-friendly and close enough to visit for an hour or a day.

Discover a National Trust gem

Don’t forget to bring your National Trust membership cards when you come to Deerpark. With many National Trust gems in the area you’ll be spoilt for choice. A favourite of our Deerpark regulars is Lanydrock House and Gardens. Wander round this elegant country home and estate, and catch a glimpse of a very different way of life from times gone by. If you’re feeling brave enough, you can even play the Steinway piano in the long gallery.

This National Trust gem is only 10 miles away; a 20 minute drive. Please check season opening times before travelling.
