WHEN TO GO ON A FOREST HOLIDAY

Every season is enchanting

The joy of the forest is that its beauty and attraction changes with the seasons and, whatever time of year you are planning a break, there is always a reason to be here. From romantic, snow topped trees in the depths of winter to the last, breathtaking burst of autumn colour, a Forest Holiday is a holiday for all seasons.

AUTUMN IN THE FOREST

An explosion of colour

There is nowhere better to enjoy this season of "mists and mellow fruitfulness" than here in the forest. Wrap up for long walks, with the crunch of leaves beneath your feet; hunt for mushrooms and berries, and look out for woodland animals preparing themselves for the long winter sleep. Autumn, in all its colourful glory, is a highlight of the forest year.
