With half term fast approaching, we have some fantastic activities planned for young forest explorers during the school holidays.

At Forest Holidays, we’re passionate about all the forest has to offer; including its flora and fauna, wildlife and trees, and we want our guests to be able to not only experience this while they stay with us, but also take home a similar passion.

This half term, we’re introducing a new activity, which will see budding birdwatchers make their own bird box or feeding station to take home and attract wildlife to their own gardens. Kits are just £6.50 and contain everything you need to personalise your own feeder or bird box.

Our popular Mini Forest Ranger adventures will also be running at all nine locations over the school holidays. Aimed at youngsters, Mini Forest Rangers will catch bugs in our mini beast pots for a closer look, learn all about plants and trees, play games and make forest crafts, with a Mini Forest Ranger badge and certificate to take home on completion.

For the adventurous, there are archery lessons, Go Ape and plenty of cycle tracks throughout the forest, as well as survival skill courses with our Forest Ranger, night vision adventures and much more besides.

After a day of exploring the forest, the family can cozy up for a film night with our in-cabin entertainment package and enjoy a pizza or curry delivered straight to the cabin door.
