Our cabins offer trouble-free dog friendly cottages with hot tubs. Your outdoor decking is enclosed, meaning your pup can freely lounge around while you unwind completely. Time to sink into the hot tub and just...be.
Rest easy knowing that your pets are welcome with us (psst...it’s purrfectly fine to bring feline friends too!). We’ll include welcome treats on arrival and there’s plenty of space for pets to get cosy in their favourite bed.
With proper countryside as your backdrop, our cabins are the perfect base for holidays with dogs. Don’t forget to ask a friendly team member about local dog-friendly walks, beaches and pubs.

Pre-book a doggy hamper and we’ll make sure it’s waiting in your cabin when you arrive. Dog treats are natural with no added salt, sugar, artificial colours or flavours. Made in the UK.
We love dogs at Forest Holidays and welcome them with open arms; some of our Forest Rangers even have their own dogs at work with them. You can bring your dog into the Forest Retreat or let them rest at the drinking station while you get them some doggy treats from the shop. There are outdoor taps to wash the forest mud away after a long walk too, and many other little details to make life for you and your dog easier. You’ll understand that you must keep your dog on a lead around the cabins and we ask that you don’t leave them unaccompanied.
There are plenty of dog friendly things to do near to our locations, from forest trails to museums and even a jail! Inveraray Jail near to Ardgartan Argyll welcomes dogs, and they are welcome too in the bar and garden at our Strathyre local, The Lade Inn. In North Yorkshire, the Ryedale Folk Museum, a short drive from Cropton and Keldy, is dog friendly and, at Sherwood Forest, you can take the dog to Hardwick Old Hall, an English Heritage property.
How about a trip on a steam train? Dogs are welcome at Dean Forest Railway in the Forest of Dean or the Bure Valley Railway in Norfolk, near Thorpe Forest, where they even have their own resident dog. In Hampshire, near Blackwood Forest, the South Downs offer miles of beautiful walks for you and your dog. At the Eden Project near Deerpark in Cornwall, dogs can enjoy the outdoor trails. This is just a flavour of the things you can do on a Forest Holiday with your dog; visit Forestipedia too, for dog friendly beaches and other dog friendly holiday ideas.
