Frequently asked questions

What kitchen facilities are included?

Our cabins come with all the essentials you need to make self-catering breaks easy. From cookware to tableware and everything in between, we've taken care of everything so you can settle into holiday-mode and get stuck into enjoying your cabin in the forest. You can find a full cabin inventory here.

Where can we find out what’s nearby?

There are plenty of shops, pubs, walking trails and attractions nearby our locations. You can use the Forest Holidays app to view our locations guides, speak to our team on arrival for local recommendations. Google maps showing local amenities can be found on our FAQ pages.

Is the cabin child-friendly or pet-friendly?

Yes - Our self-catering holiday cabins are both child and pet friendly!

The spacious master bedroom has plenty of room for a cot and bedside lights for a little extra light during night feeds, plus there are separate bedrooms, allowing for undisturbed naps and early bedtimes. Find out more about our baby and toddler friendly breaks

Up to four pets are welcome in our cabins too, with enclosed outdoor decking for trouble-free relaxation, tasty treats on arrival and plenty of space for them to explore. They are charged at £15 per pet, per night.

Are linens and towels included?

All cabins come with bed linen, duvets and two pillowcases per person, all ready for a cosy night’s sleep. If you have any additional bedding requirements, you’ll need to bring this with you.

All cabins also come with hand and bath towels. White Willow, Golden Oak and Unfurl cabins also have hot tub towels and robes for every guest. If you’re planning on heading to a beach nearby or taking part in water sports during your stay, we’d recommend bringing your own beach towels.

Are there laundry facilities?

All cabins have a clothes airer but don’t have a washing machine or tumble dryer. The team in the Forest Retreat will be able to advise on the nearest laundry facilities.

Is there parking available at the accommodation?

Parking is available near to all cabins. In some cases, there will be a short path from the cabin to the car park. Please check the site map for each location on our locations page to see how close parking is to the cabins.

Do we need to clean the property before we leave?

Please ensure you take your rubbish out, load and start the dishwasher and leave your cabin and barbecue in a clean condition. As is typical for self‑catering stays, we ask that the cabin is left as you found it, and we may charge up to £250 if it isn’t clean and tidy.

A welcome pack containing 4 dishwasher tablets, food caddy bags, a small washing up liquid bottle and a cloth are provided for the kitchen. If you require any additional cleaning products, please bring these with you and take them with you when you leave.

Is the accommodation accessible for elderly family members?

Some cabins are on a single level, whilst others are on two levels. Please check the details of our cabins at your intended location on our cabins page. All cabins have walk in showers. We also have wheelchair accessible cabins at all our locations.

Is there Wi-Fi and mobile signal?

All our locations have basic internet access; however you can upgrade to premium Wi-Fi with our in-cabin entertainment package. This can be purchased either before or during your stay (subject to availability). WiFi is also available for use in the Forest Retreat.
