Our location at Sherwood Forest is situated within 3,300 acres of magnificent pine forest, comprising of 82 forest cabins. The accommodation includes Silver Birch, Golden Oak, our famous Golden Oak Treehouse, and our romantic Golden Oak Hideaway. At the heart of Sherwood Forest is the Forest Retreat, where you can shop, eat, drink, meet the team, and book activities, including the Forest Ranger adventures. There is also a children’s outdoor play area here too.
At the Forest Retreat you will meet our friendly team who are on hand to offer help and advice to ensure you make the most of your break. Housed in a cabin style building, the Forest Retreat offers an inviting seating area, serving food and drink, along with a well organised shop.

Do not use extension leads to charge your vehicle from a cabin socket - this is not permitted as it can cause fires, circuit overload and loss of power to your cabin or the entire location.

Hire your bikes from Sherwood Pines Cycles at the Visitor Centre, a short walk through the forest from your cabin and discover the forest on two wheels!
Drop into the Forest Retreat at Sherwood Forest to find out about our self-led trails, the team will be on hand to offer advice and recommendations. Your first walk might be the 700m stroll through the woods to the Sherwood Pines Visitor Centre, where you can hire bikes or book a Go Ape Treetop Adventure. You will find details of all the trails in the forest, including the one-mile Dragonfly Trail, an easily accessible trail, suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Pass some of the oldest trees in the forest before resting at the Dragonfly Pond. This walk also takes in play areas for the children. For a longer, three-mile walk, take the Nightjar Trail, which veers off from the Dragonfly trail.
