Upon arrival/departure: When you arrive, simply park up and head to the Forest Retreat from 4pm (unless you have pre-booked an early check-in from 2pm). When you check in we’ll need to pre-authorise a payment card with us. Upon departure, simply head to the Forest Retreat before 10am (unless you have pre-booked a late check-out before 12pm) and hand in your keys. Or if you’re in a rush, drop them off in the outside box. 

Access and terrain: The majority of cabins have level access, with some steep parts in places. There are paths for pushchairs and wheelchairs to make it easier getting around.

Parking: Each cabin at Glentress Forest has two allocated parking spaces, directly outside the cabin or along a pathway. Additional cars can be registered with the team and parked at the Forest Retreat just a short walk from your cabin, free of charge. 

Electric Vehicle charging: All White Willow Premium cabins include electric charging points. 

Shopping and food options: The Forest Retreat at Glentress Forest offers all-day dining from 9am every day, with breakfast, brunch, small plates and British classics to choose from, as well as coffee, wines and cocktails. There’s also a small shop with the essentials for your stay, plus treats, gifts and little extras to take back to your cabin. If you’d prefer a takeaway, you can order from our in-cabin menu, with delivery to your door every day until 7pm.

Local amentities: The closest supermarkets to Glentress Forest are in Peebles. They are  Sainsbury’s (3.6 miles), Tesco Superstore (3.9 miles) and M&S Simply Food (3.4 miles). You can arrange a supermarket delivery during your stay, but we ask that you meet the driver on their arrival to accept your delivery. 

Nearby train stations: Buses to Melrose pass through Peebles and straight past the forest entrance. Buses from Edinburgh (X62) take around 1 ½ hours.
