Forests, villages and amazing views amongst the Tweed Valley
When you are on holiday at Glentress Forest, see more of the forest on two wheels, whether it’s the thrill of the MTB (Mountain Bike) trails or a winding ride. Find multi-use trails that take you beyond the forest, along the River Tweed, and to the nearby villages of Peebles, Cardrona and Innerleithen. Or stay in the forest for wild rides along the mountain bike tracks.
With cycle storage for up to three bikes per cabin, there’s nowhere better to explore on your own two wheels.
If you’re new to mountain biking (MTB) and aren’t equipped with your own bikes, you can still join in on all the action by hiring Hardtail MTBs from £35 through Glentress Bike Hire, our third party located off site.
Need a bit of help on those hills? They also have Trail Ebikes to hire from £80 so you can still enjoy the thrill.
Just a short walk through the forest from your cabin are the slopes and trails of Glentress Forest – a 7Stanes Mountain Biking centre. These world-class centres cover the south of Scotland, and their award-winning trails offer some of the best biking in the UK.
With green, blue, red and black graded trails, there’s a trail for every level at Glentress Forest. Sample each grade of the trail network on the Taster trail, or dive straight into one of the challenges – from gentle beginner cruising, to jumps and fast-paced flying.
