Upon arrival/departure: When you arrive, simply park up and head to the Forest Retreat from 4pm (unless you have pre-booked Early check-in from 2pm). When you check-in we’ll need to pre-authorise a payment card with us. Upon departure, simply head to the Forest Retreat from 10am (unless you have pre-booked Late check-out from 12pm) and hand in your keys or drop them off in the outside box.

Access and terrain: At Sherwood Forest, the terrain is mostly flat and level with some steep hills. There are steps leading to most cabins, however our wheelchair-adapted Silver Birch is situated on flat and level terrain with a ramp to access the cabin.

Parking: Our cabins at Sherwood Forest has 2 allocated parking spaces, except for our Golden Oak Treehouse cabins, which has 3 allocated parking spaces. Additional cars can be registered with the team and parked at the Forest Retreat just a short walk from your Sherwood Forest cabin free of charge. 

Shopping and food options: The Forest Retreat at Sherwood Forest offers all-day dining from 9am every day, with breakfast, brunch, small plates and British classics to choose from, as well as coffee, wines and cocktails. There’s also a small shop with the essentials for your stay, plus treats, gifts and little extras to take back to your cabin. If you’d prefer a takeaway, you can order from our in-cabin menu, with delivery to your door every day until 7pm.

Local amentities: The closest supermarkets to Sherwood Forest are Tesco Express (11.1 miles), Co-Operative Food (2.8 miles), Asda (4.9 miles), and Tesco (5 miles). You can arrange a supermarket delivery during your stay, but we ask that you meet the driver on their arrival to accept your delivery.

Nearby train stations: The closest train station to Sherwood Forest is Mansfield (4.9 miles) Please note, our locations require a journey by car, taxi, bus etc.
