Mountain Biking Snowdonia National Park: The Lon Gwynfrai Path

Real mountains to test your skills

Our cabins at Beddgelert are situated on the Lon Gwyrfai Path between Beddgelert and Rhyd Ddu. The round trip to Beddgelert is 5km and the round trip to Rhyd Ddu is 10.4km. Both rides offer breath-taking views of the mountains and valleys and both are on the Welsh Highland Railway route so you can hop on a train back if you feel like taking it easy. The path in both directions presents a pleasant challenge. It’s wide with some tarmac surfaces and some lose stone and slate. For beginners and experts alike it’s great fun - if you only try one of the Snowdonia mountain bike trails, make it this one.
