Beddgelert is known for its heritage and history. It’s also a top destination for adventure holidays in the UK thanks to its challenging terrain. This means if you’re on the hunt for fun things to do in North Wales, it’s going to be tricky to fit everything into one short break.

To help you make the most of your holiday in Beddgelert North Wales, we’ve put together a selection of our top tips for exploring this incredible part of the country.

Embrace your environment

While we imagine a family holiday to be all barbecues and long days on the beach, the weather often has other ideas. Luckily, there’s more than a few spots to keep everyone entertained with no damp spirits in sight.

Beacon Climbing Centre

If you’re over raincoats and wellies, head indoors to the Beacon Climbing Centre. Just 30 minutes away from our Beddgelert location. Conquer the climbing wall, beat the CrazyClimb challenge or dare to ascend the high roped walls. Perfect for burning off extra energy or even switching up your normal gym routine.

Glasfryn Parc Activity Centre

Go-karting, archery, crazy golf, water sports and more. Glasfryn Parc has 11 outdoor and indoor activities for everyone to tackle. On a drizzly day you can take advantage of bowling and soft play while sunny afternoons are made for their hilarious crash’n’splash aquapark. All a 40 minute drive from Beddgelert.

Instead it focuses on helping you discover the secrets of the abandoned mines through personal expert-led tours. This exceptional subterranean experience is definitely one of the more unusual things to do in North Wales. A must-visit.
