Our location at Blackwood Forest in Hampshire is set within a 270-hectare beech wood, carpeted in bluebells in the spring and bathed in golden hues in the autumn. Our General Manager, Craig Fraser, looks after Blackwood Forest.

Upon arrival/departure:When you arrive, simply park up and head to the Forest Retreat from 4pm (unless you have pre-booked Early check-in from 2pm). When you check-in we’ll need to pre-authorise a payment card with us. Upon departure, simply head to the Forest Retreat from 10am (unless you have pre-booked Late check-out from 12pm) and hand in your keys or drop them off in the outside box.
Access and terrain: At Blackwood Forest, the terrain is mostly flat and level with steps to access your cabin. Our wheelchair-adapted Silver Birch cabin has a ramp to access the cabin.
Parking: Each cabin at Blackwood Forest has 2 allocated parking spaces, except for our Golden Oak Treehouse cabins, which has 3 allocated parking spaces. Additional cars can be registered with the team and parked at the Forest Retreat just a short walk from your Blackwood Forest cabin free of charge.
During your stay
Shopping and food options: The Forest Retreat at Blackwood Forest has a small shop containing food and shopping essentials for your convenience, plus breakfast, lunch, and dinner options to be enjoyed in the Forest Retreat or ordered for delivery to your cabin.
Opening hours: 9am – 8pm
Please note our Forest Retreat at Blackwood Forest is closed to the public on Monday & Friday afternoons.
Local amentities: The closest supermarkets to Blackwood Forest are Asda Superstore (8.2 miles), Morrisons (8.8 miles), Sainsburys (6.2 miles), and Tesco Superstore (12.4 miles). You can arrange a supermarket delivery during your stay, but we ask that you meet the driver on their arrival to accept your delivery.
Nearby train stations: The closest train station to Blackwood Forest is Micheldever (2.1 miles). Please note, our locations require a journey by car, taxi, bus etc.
