Margaret Turner

General Manager at Strathyre

Our general manager Margaret can be found out on location helping with housekeeping and operations daily tasks. As a keen mountain biker she loves the secret forest trails around Strathyre and also enjoys walks along the loch with her German Shepherd dog Orion. Her rarest wildlife sighting at Forest Holidays is a Golden Eagle!

Where is your favourite place to eat in Strathyre?

"Luti's Artisian Food in Callander, their pizza and pasta is the best."

Pauline Lynch

Forest Ranger at Strathyre

Having worked with us since 2015, Pauline has seen the spaces around the forest turn into wildlife corridors. As your Forest Ranger at Strathyre, Pauline has a keen interest in the trees that have been planted that’ve helped create habitats for an abundance of wildlife.

With experience in surveying mammals and trees with wildlife charities, Pauline helps bring nature to life by adapting her Forest Ranger sessions. Fairies to fungi, berries to Bagers – there's something for everyone!

What do you enjoy most about being a Forest Ranger?

The forest is always changing, above us and below us. Moving with the seasons. Ospreys fishing in the summer, Red Deer rutting in the autumn, Swallows arriving in spring and starry winter nights. Roots and fungi intertwining beneath our feet, branches reaching for the sun. It’s a place to breathe and be yourself.
