To find us please put Garwnant Visitor Centre into Google Maps, or alternatively if you are using the postcode, please only turn off the A470 when you reach the signpost for Garwnant Visitor Centre.

Barrier: Please note there’s a barrier to get to the cabins. You’ll be given access based on the vehicle registration on your pre-arrival registration.

Please note: Cabins 4, 11 and 14 are unsuitable for those who are unsteady on their feet. Cabins with more than 4 steps are marked on the map, all other cabins have a maximum of 4 steps. 

Open glade: Cabins 1, 4, 5, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 are in a unique spot, high in an open glade.

Opening hours: Garwnant Visitor Centre is open everyday from 8:30am - 5pm (8pm on Mondays and Fridays). The Forest Café is open from 8:30am - 5pm (7:30pm during the summer months). Our in-cabin deliveries run until 7:30pm.

Upon arrival/departure: When you arrive, simply park up and head to the Visitor Centre from 4pm (unless you have pre-booked Early check-in from 2pm). When you check-in we’ll need to pre-authorise a payment card with us. Upon departure, simply head to the Visitor Centre from 10am (unless you have pre-booked Late check-out from 12pm) and hand in your keys or drop them off in the outside box.

Access and terrain: At Garwnant, the terrain is relatively flat to the north of the site and noticeably steeper to the south closer to the Visitor Centre. Our wheelchair-adapted Silver Birch cabin is situated on flat and level terrain with a ramp to access the cabin.

Parking: Each cabin at Garwnant has two allocated parking spaces, except for our Golden Oak Treehouse cabins, which has three allocated parking spaces. 

Shopping and food options: In the Forest Retreat you’ll find gifts, food and holiday essentials, plus a cafe serving delicious hot food. Dine in the Forest Retreat or enjoy hassle-free in-cabin delivery.

Local amenities: The closest supermarkets to Garwnant are a Tescos Extra and an Asda Superstore, both just a 10-15 minute drive away. 

Nearby train stations: The closest train stations to Garwnant are Merthyr Tydfil – 13 minutes and Abergavenny – 40 minutes. Please note, our locations require a journey by car, taxi, bus etc.
