Feel closer to the forest with a cabin styled by nature and enjoy the tranquility the location provides with woodland paths and wildlife on your doorstep. Upon arrival/departure: When you arrive, simply park up and one person per cabin will be required to check-in, simply follow the social distancing markers to the Forest Retreat. Queuing systems may be implemented and whilst we will try to make the process as quick as possible, check-in may take a little longer than usual.
Access and terrain: At Cropton, the terrain is mostly flat and level with steps to access some cabins. Our wheelchair-adapted Silver Birch cabin has a ramp to access the cabin.
Parking: Each cabin at Cropton has 2 allocated parking spaces nearby the cabin. Additional cars can be registered with the team and parked at the Forest Retreat just a short walk from your cabin free of charge.
During your stay
Shopping and food options: The Forest Retreat at Cropton has a small shop containing locally sourced produce and shopping essentials for your convenience. Plus, breakfast, lunch, and dinner options to be enjoyed in the Forest Retreat or ordered for delivery to your cabin.
Opening hours: 9am – 8pm (08.30am - 8pm on Mondays & Fridays)
Local amentities: The closest supermarkets to Cropton are Co-Operative Food (6.8 miles), Lidl (6.8 miles), Morrisons (15.4 miles), and Asda (15.5 miles). You can arrange a supermarket delivery during your stay, but we ask that you meet the driver on their arrival to accept your delivery.
Nearby train stations: The closest train station to Cropton is Malton (15.5 miles) and Thirsk (30.1 miles). Please note, our locations require a journey by car, taxi, bus etc.

Explore Cropton Forest with our new all-terrain mobility scooters. Tramper hire prices start from £2.50 for 3 hours. Daily slots are available between 10:00am - 5:00pm.
All users must be accompanied during the session and follow the designated forest pathways.
