A cabin holiday like no other

Curated to provide a sense of calm, space to connect and feel closer to nature, our newest location in Glentress Forest is getting noticed. Our small spot in Glentress Forest showcases the very best of the outdoors. And there’s accommodation with a hot tub, waiting for you at the end of a day filled with adventures outside. 

Offering something different amongst the trees, we recently welcomed The Times writer, Helen Ochyra to the forest. Looking for a chance to spend more time outdoors together, Helen and her family joined us for an unforgettable weekend wrapped up in nature in our brand-new Unfurl cabin – accommodation exclusive to Glentress Forest.

Activities

The family set out to get back in tune with nature and along the way they discovered just why we’re a one-of-a-kind holiday in the UK. Finding fairies, hunting bugs and following a nature trail were all part of the experience with our Forest Ranger, Nikki.

Our Ugly Bug Hunt – designed to spark curiosity in kids and adults about the small but mighty heroes of the forest – left the parents wowed as much as the children. Measuring up the family members against woodland animals, or discovering a little spot to lay back, look up and watch the skies, our Elvis Owl Nature Trail gave everyone a way to connect to the forest.

Hot Tub

Back at the cabin, the outdoor hot tub – which comes with every Forest Holidays cabin – was loved by the whole family; playtime for the kids, or a welcome spot to sink into as the sun went down.

 

“… what a treat it is to have a private splash pool, set to a blissfully toasty temperature, right outside our back door. We have lucked out with the weather, but I find myself almost wishing it were winter — this would be heaven on a dark, crisp late afternoon, the stars laid out overhead.”
