Our location at Deerpark offers 45 luxury cabins set on the winding side of the valley and around a quiet millpond, deep in the forest. You will find the Silver Birch, Golden Oak, and one quirky but wonderful Golden Oak Treehouse. At the heart of the location is the Forest Hub, where youâ€™ll find a shop, restaurant, and bar area. Here you can book activities, including Forest Ranger activities, and bike hire. There is also an outdoor seating area with picnic benches and a childrenâ€™s play area.
The Forest Hub is the heart of our Deerpark location and where you will find our friendly team, who are ready to help you make the most of your holiday. Housed in an old-style stone building, the Forest Hub has a well-stocked shop selling essential groceries and souvenirs, many of which are hand-made or locally sourced. There is also a comfortable seating area and bar where you can enjoy restaurant style meals and a cafÃ© atmosphere.
Our restaurant at Deerpark is open between 8:30am to 9:00pm, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can order delicious freshly cooked meals, to enjoy in the inviting seating area, or a refreshing drink at the relaxed bar. Browse our menu, order at the bar, and inform the team of the table youâ€™re sitting at. The terrace at Deerpark offers a seating area to sit back and enjoy the scenery. Order a hot drink and a bite to eat, or a refreshing drink after exploring the forest. We offer a takeaway service from our Forest Hub at Deerpark. In the shop at Deerpark, you will find all the essentials you need during your stay, from essential groceries to souvenirs to take home. We sell a range of groceries, toiletries, beverages and of course souvenirs to remind you of your forest adventure. Please note that our usual opening times are 8:30am â€“ 9:00pm.
There is one vehicle charging point on location at Deerpark, which can be found outside the Forest Hub.
Bike hire is available at Deerpark, please visit the Forest Hub and speak to a member of the team or add them onto your booking through your online account. Enjoy the freedom of a cycling holiday in Cornwall, with everything from woodland jaunts to National Cycle Network routes. South-East Cornwall is great for family cycling and for more serious, long distance cycling. There are also mountain bike trails if you are looking for a thrill of a ride.
Tom Price is our Forest Ranger at Deerpark and he has a passion for nature and educating others of the wonders of the forest. He loves exploring the north coast of Cornwall while finding great views and spotting unusual wildlife along the way. Marine mammals are his favourite and he often enjoys catching a glimpse of a pod of dolphins. He will make sure you have great time learning about the forest life around you. There is a full programme of Forest Ranger activities to book, including the popular Nocturnal Adventure.
There is a childrenâ€™s play area available at Deerpark, but please bear in mind that children must always be supervised by an adult.
There is a bug hotel at Deerpark, attracting lots of bugs and insects. This means they can pollinate our flowers and keep unwanted pests to a minimum like aphids and slugs.
Drop into the Forest Hub to find out about our self-led trails at Deerpark. The wooded valley around our cabins tells a story of tin and silver mining, gunpowder mills, and Victorian life. Best enjoyed with our Forest Ranger, whose love of the history and the natural landscape is infectious. End your walk back at the Forest Ranger Basecamp, where you can see Victorian artefacts that have been unearthed as part of the Deerpark Dig.
