Upon arrival/departure: When you arrive, simply park up and head to the Forest Retreat from 4pm (unless you have pre-booked Early check-in from 2pm). When you check-in we’ll need to pre-authorise a payment card with us. Upon departure, simply head to the Forest Retreat from 10am (unless you have pre-booked Late check-out from 12pm) and hand in your keys or drop them off in the outside box.
Access and terrain: At Sherwood Forest, the terrain is mostly flat and level with some steep hills. There are steps leading to most cabins, however our wheelchair-adapted Silver Birch is situated on flat and level terrain with a ramp to access the cabin.
Parking: Our cabins at Sherwood Forest has 2 allocated parking spaces, except for our Golden Oak Treehouse cabins, which has 3 allocated parking spaces. Additional cars can be registered with the team and parked at the Forest Retreat just a short walk from your Sherwood Forest cabin free of charge.

Shopping and food options: The Forest Retreat at Sherwood Forest has a small shop containing locally sourced produce and shopping essentials for your convenience, plus breakfast, lunch, and dinner options to be enjoyed in the Forest Retreat or ordered for delivery to your cabin.

Tuesdays – Thursdays: 9am – 8pm
Saturdays & Sundays: 9am – 8pmLocal amentities: The closest supermarkets to Sherwood Forest are Tesco Express (11.1 miles), Co-Operative Food (2.8 miles), Asda (4.9 miles), and Tesco (5 miles). You can arrange a supermarket delivery during your stay, but we ask that you meet the driver on their arrival to accept your delivery.
Nearby train stations: The closest train station to Sherwood Forest is Mansfield (4.9 miles) Please note, our locations require a journey by car, taxi, bus etc.
