The multi-use Tweed Valley Railway Path is an excellent route for families, following the River Tweed for much of the way and linking the nearby towns of Peebles, Innerleithen and Cardrona. It’s a great day out to discover the local area.

The Tweed Cycle Way is a 95-mile long, waymarked cycle route, running through the heart of the Scottish Borders along the River Tweed. Dip in and out of this route for a leisurely bike ride through riverside towns, with hills and forest as far as you can see.
Just a short walk through the forest from your cabin are the slopes and trails of Glentress Forest – a 7Stanes Mountain Biking centre. These world-class centres cover the south of Scotland, and their award-winning trails offer some of the best biking in the UK.
With green, blue, red and black graded trails, there’s a trail for every level at Glentress Forest. Sample each grade of the trail network on the Taster trail, or dive straight into one of the challenges – from gentle beginner cruising, to jumps and fast-paced flying.
