Beddgelert offers 16 log cabins dotted amongst evergreen trees at the edge of the tumbling River Colwyn. Our smallest location will leave you feeling truly refreshed in a peaceful setting, with breathtaking mountain views and soothing sounds of the Welsh Highland steam train. Our General Manager, Richard Bosworth, looks after Beddgelert.

Upon arrival/departure: When you arrive, simply park up and head to the Forest Retreat from 4pm (unless you have pre-booked Early check-in from 2pm). When you check-in we’ll need to pre-authorise a payment card with us. Upon departure, simply head to the Forest Retreat from 10am (unless you have pre-booked Late check-out from 12pm) and hand in your keys or drop them off in the outside box.
Access and terrain: At Beddgelert the terrain is mostly flat and level with steps to access your cabin. Our wheelchair-adapted Silver Birch has a ramp to access the cabin.
Parking: Each cabin at Beddgelert has 2 allocated parking spaces, directly outside the cabin. Additional cars can be registered with the team and parked at the Forest Retreat just a short walk from your cabin free of charge.
During your stay
Shopping and food options: The Forest Retreat at Beddgelert has a small shop containing locally sourced produce and shopping essentials for your convenience. The Forest Retreat opens to an outdoor seating area, and a large grassy area where you can catch the sun. Plus, The Bakehouse offers breakfast and dinner options to take-out or ordered for delivery to your cabin.
Opening hours: 9am - 5pm (8.30am - 8pm on Mondays & Fridays)
Local amentities: The closest supermarkets to Beddgelert are Tesco Superstore (8.5 miles), Aldi (9.4 miles) and Lidl (9.3 miles). You can arrange a supermarket delivery during your stay, but we ask that you meet the driver on their arrival to accept your delivery.
Nearby train stations: The closest train station to Beddgelert is Porthmadog (8.6 miles) and Bangor (20.4 miles). Please note, our locations require a journey by car, taxi, bus etc. Taxis from Bangor are around £80. Taxis from Porthmadog are around £35. There is a direct bus service to Beddgelert.
