Hot tub safety

Your hot tub will be ready and waiting for you to unwind, with plastic glasses provided so you can enjoy a first night drink whilst you’re soaking it all in.

We check your hot tub daily, so you might spot one of our team out doing some tinkering to keep the water just right for you.

We do ask not to bring pets or children under four into the tub, for their safety. We’d recommend a quick shower before and after your soak (using the towels provided) – and it’s best to pack some flip flops or sliders to help you move around the wet decking.

To help you get in and out safely, there’s a quick safety video you can watch on your TV once you arrive – and our team will always be around to help you.

Frequently asked questions

Is the hot tub private or shared?

All hot tubs are situated on your own private decking area outside your cabin, for your use only. Sit back and relax as you enjoy views into the forest, stargaze the night sky or listen out for the wildlife around you.

Can you get in the hot tub whilst pregnant?

We recommend speaking to your midwife or healthcare professional.

What size are your hot tubs?

Our hot tubs comfortably seat up to 6 guests at one time.

Can you drink and eat in the hot tub?

To ensure water quality is maintained, you should not eat food in your hot tub. Plastic cups are provided for use in and around the hot tub and glass should not be used for your safety.

How frequently are the hot tubs cleaned?

Our hot tubs are cleaned daily, and we follow guidance from The British and Irish Spa Hot Tub Association (BISHTA). You might see our team on your decking when they carry out daily checks. This is to ensure your hot tub is sanitised effectively.

Can the temperature of the hot tubs be adjusted?

Your hot tub is set at a fixed temperature so that the chemicals remain effective and water quality is maintained. Your hot tub is checked daily by our location team who will check the level of chemicals and water quality is safe for use.

If you are concerned about using your hot tub with a medical condition, please consult your GP or health professional.

Which cabins and lodges have hot tubs?

At Forest Holidays all cabins and lodges except for The Nest at Delamere Forest come with a hot tub on the decking for you to enjoy.

Are towels provided?

Hot tub towels are provided in White Willow Premium and all Golden Oak cabin types. Regular bath towels are provided in all cabin types as standard.

How do I use the hot tub during my stay?

Simply fold back the lid of your hot tub over the cover lifter and use this to place the cover down the side of the hot tub. Steps are provided to help you in and out, and the controls are simple: one button controls the jets and the other controls the light within the hot tub.

Further information about using your hot tub can be found on the TV in your cabin.

How many nights can I book a hot tub break for?

Our minimum hot tub break is a 3-night weekend stay commencing on a Friday, or a 4-night midweek break commencing on a Monday. We also offer 7, 11 or 14-night breaks commencing Monday or Friday.

Do you have valentines day hot tub deals?

Yes! You can book a Valentine's getaway for two with us, and enjoy a romantic stay together.
