We don't like writing terms and conditions, and we know you don't like reading them, but they're here for a reason, and that's to protect both you and Forest Holidays.
So, make yourself a cup of tea (or coffee) and take the time to read our small print. For a printed copy of our Terms and Conditions, please call us on 0845 130 8223.
It is important to us that you understand the terms on which we are making our agreement. Please read these terms carefully. These terms include important information on how we use the personal information that you provide to us.
1. How these terms and conditions apply to our contract
We consider these terms and conditions (the "Terms") and our price list to set out the entire agreement between you and us for the supply of our services to you. Only these Terms shall apply to our contract with you.
Please check that the details in these Terms and your Booking Request (see below) are complete and accurate before you commit yourself to the contract. If you think that there is a mistake, please make sure that you ask us to confirm any changes in writing, as we only accept responsibility for statements and representations made in writing by our authorised employees and agents.
5. Mobility Requirements and Special Requests
Please ensure that you read and understand these Terms before you submit your Booking Request. You may only request a booking if you agree to these Terms. By submitting a Booking Request you are deemed to have accepted these Terms. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Forest Holidays Ltd (referred to as "Forest Holidays/we/our/us") sells luxury cabin holidays via www.forestholidays.co.uk (the “Website”), via its call centre, via email requests, via postal requests and takes bookings direct at the cabin sites (the "Site(s)"). Any person wishing to book a holiday via any of these methods (referred to as “you/your”) acknowledges that such booking is made subject to these Terms.
We reserve the right to change these Terms at any time. Any such changes will take effect immediately when posted on the Website, in the brochure, at the Sites, or otherwise brought to your attention. It is your responsibility to read the Terms each time you submit a Booking Request and any such request shall signify that you have accepted to be bound by the latest set of Terms. A copy of the latest set of Terms is available on the Website and upon request.
In addition to these Terms, there may be specific rules and regulations which apply to individual Sites. Please contact the relevant Site Manager in advance of your arrival if you require further details of any Site specific rules and regulations.
2. Making a Booking
When you wish to place a booking for a holiday (“Booking Request”) with us, you will complete a booking form (either on the Website, over the phone, by email, or at the Site). It is your responsibility to provide us with the correct information. If you have made the Booking Request via the telephone, we will read back your details to you. You will be responsible for the booking regardless of any input errors.
The Booking Request is an offer by you to enter into a binding contract with us and we are free to accept or decline your offer at our absolute discretion.
If we accept your Booking Request, we shall issue a written confirmation (containing a booking reference number) accepting your Booking Request. This written confirmation shall signify that we have accepted your Booking Request subject to these Terms. At this point a contract shall come into existence between you and us on these Terms.
By making a Booking Request you warrant that you are over 18, at least one person in your party will be over 18, you have the authority of all persons in your party to book on their behalf, you accept these Terms and you agree that you will be responsible for any loss or damage caused by you, any member of your party or animal accompanying you.
Bookings are not transferable to another party.
Bookings are subject to minimum stay requirements according to type of break chosen. Our holidays can be either for a 3 night weekend (Friday to Monday), 4 night midweek (Monday to Friday), a full week stay (starting and finishing on either a Monday or a Friday) or any combinations of the above. Refunds cannot be given for any unused portion of a holiday due to curtailment unless our cancellation and curtailment cover has been purchased at time of booking. From time to time, Forest Holidays may offer ‘Special Breaks’ starting on different days and / or differing durations, these Special Breaks are subject to these Terms unless we agree otherwise.
We do not accept bookings for Stag or Hen nights, however single sex groups and group bookings are welcome at the discretion of the Site Manager. Please make us aware if you are an all male or an all female group before booking. It is essential that you and your party will at all times comply with any policies or rules specific to the Site or any reasonable instructions or requests of the Site Managers.
You will pay to us the price of your holiday as set out online or as quoted by our Holiday Advisors at the time of your booking.
Cabin prices are calculated across date ranges. If your holiday falls within two or more price bands, the corresponding price for each date range will be charged. Prices include VAT at the current prevailing rate.
Prices do not include any additional services, features and facilities unless expressly stated.
The maximum number of people occupying your accommodation must not exceed the number shown in the particulars of the cabin (in addition to the number shown in the particulars of the cabin, you may also have up to 2 infants under the age of 2 in your cabin).
Price adjustments, promotions and discounted offers are introduced at the discretion of Forest Holidays. All promotions and offers are subject to availability, cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or discounted offer and may be withdrawn at any time. Retrospective refunds are not permitted against any price adjustment, promotion or discounted offer advertised after such time a booking is made.
If you place your booking more than 12 weeks prior to the start date of your holiday, we will request a deposit of £100 or 30% of the booking (whichever is greater) per Cabin per short break / week, plus any cancellation and breakage cover if taken out. The balance of the full payment will be due 12 weeks prior to the start date of your holiday. For all bookings received within 12 weeks of your holiday start date, full payment is due at the time of booking. Non-receipt of the full accommodation charge by the due date will be treated by us as a cancellation of the booking and you will forfeit the total cost of any payments made to date.
Payment for bookings can be made by Debit or Credit Card. Please note that payments made by Credit or Charge Card are subject to a non refundable additional charge of a minimum of 2% of the total amount due (this charge does not apply to payments made by Debit Card). Payment by this method confirms that you accept this additional charge.
Cheques will only be accepted if received by Forest Holidays at least 15 days prior to 12 weeks before the start of your holiday. Cheques are not accepted on site. Cheques should be made payable to 'Forest Holidays Ltd'. Please post to Forest Holidays, Bath Yard, Moira, Derbyshire, DE12 6BA.
Bookings made through our Holiday Advisors by telephone will incur a £5 booking fee. This fee only applies to the initial Cabin booking and not the addition of any extra items to the booking. Bookings made via the Website are not subject to this fee.
We have Cabins specially adapted for use by our customers with mobility difficulties. Please make enquiries as to their suitability before booking. Please note that if you are able bodied and book this specially adapted Cabin without needing its facilities, you may be asked to move to an alternative Cabin of a similar grade or above in order to accommodate a guest who does require the facilities provided.
If you have a preference for a particular Cabin or location on Site, please let us know at the time of booking. We will, wherever possible, try to meet your requirements subject to availability and a fee of £25. We cannot guarantee your preference at the time of booking and cannot accept bookings on this basis.
