We’re delighted to share the news that fundraising efforts by our team at Deerpark have allowed the location’s charity of the year, the Front Line Emergency Equipment Trust (FLEET), to provide emergency lifesaving equipment in communities across Cornwall.

The team have been raising money to aid FLEET in placing emergency access defibrillators in every community in Cornwall at a cost of £3,200 each. The charity has succeeded in placing more than 100 across the county, three of which have been funded by Deerpark’s fundraising efforts.

What’s more, the team have raised a further £3,600 from quiz nights in the Forest Retreat and a phenomenal £3,100 in raffle ticket sales.

Forest Holidays contributed the main prize for the charity raffle of a week’s stay in a Golden Oak cabin at Deerpark, with our suppliers also providing lots of additional prizes.

The raffle was launched at the Royal Cornwall Show in the summer, with Deerpark General Manager Stuart spending an exhausting three days selling tickets on the FLEET stand accompanied by different team members each day.

Norman Trebilcock, General Manager of FLEET, said: “The support we have received from Stuart and the Forest Holidays team at Deerpark has been astonishing over the last two years, we use them as an example to others as to just what can be achieved with determination and dedication. FLEET are enormously grateful for all that they have done for us.”
