We are celebrating after winning a prestigious tourism award at the 2019 Silver Travel Awards! The awards recognise the suppliers, experiences, and destinations that best serve the over-50s travel market.
Our offering of luxury woodland cabin stays across 11 forest locations in the UK, brought us out on top, and saw us presented with the award for "Best self catering travel company", beating shortlist rivals Airbnb, Eurocamp, and Sykes Cottages.
The awards were determined by public vote and for this we are very grateful. We'd been lucky enough to win the same accolade in 2016 and 2017 so it's great to see that our breaks continue to meet the needs of the over-50s market.
The Champagne reception was held at BAFTA in London’s Piccadilly on Wednesday 26 June, hosted by TV legend Dame Esther Rantzen, with a some movie glamour being provided by Captain Jack Sparrow, Charlie Chaplin, and Marilyn Monroe lookalikes.
Gemma Chance, our Head of Purpose and Partnerships at Forest Holidays, said: "We have built a long term relationship with Silver Travel Advisor over a number of years. To have won an award voted for by the public is a huge honour. We hope silver travellers will continue to enjoy Forest Holidays breaks for many years to come."
