Also at the Forest Retreat you’ll meet the Forest Ranger, who can bring the forest alive for you during your stay.  Throughout the Sherwood Forest site, our operational team will ensure the smooth running of every aspect of your holiday.

Relax and unwind or get active

Whether it’s relaxing in your hot tub gazing up at the stars or swinging through the forest trees on the zip wire; there really is something for everyone here at Sherwood.

Pamper yourself with in-cabin spa treatments and go for gentle strolls in the forest. For the more active the opportunities are endless; try archery (this is of course the land of Robin Hood), Forest Ranger activities or orienteering.

Your Forest Ranger at Sherwood Forest is the person to talk to about anything and everything to do with the forest. The Forest Ranger has a wealth of useful and entertaining forest facts and can be found most days at the Forest Retreat. Book onto the Forest Ranger activities, or simply have a chat with your Forest Ranger, to learn about life in the forest from the expert. The full programme of Forest Ranger activities, which includes treasure hunts and Night Vision walks, will delight everyone who visits the forest.
