Making the difference to your holiday

Our job is to make sure that your holiday is perfect in every way. From your first welcome at the Forest Retreat and the passionate enthusiasm of your Forest Ranger, right down to the special touches that make your cabin feel like home, we will spare no effort in ensuring that your holiday is special and memorable. 


Our Keldy site is led by General Manager Nicky Sharkey. Nicky had worked with the Forest Holidays team for a number of years as a Health and Safety supplier, and was such a fan of the product that she decided to join the team.

The Keldy Forest Retreat

The Forest Retreat is the hub of our Keldy site; here you’ll find our friendly team, who will help you to plan and enjoy your Forest Holiday. The Forest Retreat is home to the café, serving delicious, freshly cooked meals and snacks, and the bar, serving some great local beers. Alongside these is the well-stocked shop, which has everything from essential groceries to luxuries, gifts and souvenirs, many locally sourced.

Relax and unwind or get active

Keldy is the perfect setting to really relax and unwind looking out onto the North York Moors from your hot tub. Stay in your luxury cabin to chill and watch a movie. Or be active and explore the moors by Segway, quad bikes or gliding!

With a whole host of nearby attractions you really are spoilt for choice from the lovely market town of Pickering to travelling by steam train on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway to the seaside town of Whitby.

You can book onto the Forest Ranger activities, or simply have a chat with your Forest Ranger, to learn about life in the forest, from the expert.
